Saturday 28th January Broxbourne Ladies 5's vs WGC 4's Result: Broxbourne won 5-3

See - I said watch this space - we won this week and in spectacular style. We came back three times to draw level and on account of our superior fitness, beauty, skill and lovely pink shirts we went on to score a further two goals ending up 5 - 3 winners. Welwyn were near the top of the league and we are very near the bottom - but they probably aren't any more and neither are we - if you get my drift. Becky Quiddington scored 4 and Lauren Fixter and Jackie Gates is getting worried that her goal tally is getting caught by Becky. A little healthy competition won't hurt - even within the team. Oh you should have seen our performance - real three lions on the shirt stuff this week. We don't allow heads to drop - (other things might but that's another story and refers to older players only) when you've had as many goals scored against us as we have it'sd certainly character building. We had to give the spectators something to jump up and down about mainly because it was so flippin' cold. Great team effort - we're definitely beginning to fire on more than one cylinder now.
