Saturday 25th March Broxbourne Ladies 5's vs Enigma Result: Won 2-0

We concluded our league effort with an impressive 2 - 0 victory over Enigma - I won't say we had youth on our side as I was in the team but it bode well when the opposition turned up in an Age Concern Mini bus - I hope no-one from their team reads this but if they do - it's only a joke - I like to make cheap jibes at others expense as a result of a deprived and depraved post war (that's the 2nd World War - not the Crimean) childhood spent mostly incarcerated in a red telephone box at the end of back street in Muswell Hill. We totally dominated the game which was spent mostly in their half and with several near misses and saved shots it looked as though we would never score. At one stage I could see them scoring on the break against the run of play and all fairness. However Naomi Mackay lurking near the far post converted which was followed swiftly by another from Jackie Gates. The final score ending 2 - 0. We hope our league position is safe so long as the league only demote 2. I think we've given most teams a good run for their money even the team that beat us 1 - 8. That was a close game and the scores would have been even if they hadn't scored so many. You'll be pleased to know that this is the penultimate report of the season and you'll soon be spared from this drivel.
