Saturday 11th February Broxbourne Ladies 5's vs Bishop's Stortford Result: Broxbourne won 6-0

We won 6 - 0 this week. We woz great. If you want to see how hockey should be played all you have to do is watch a Fab 5s game. Skill, brilliance, beauty, half time oranges etc - we have it all. Emily Staite scored a hat trick and one of her goals defied gravity - definitely the contender for goal of the season - hit from the base line on the left near the edge of the D - everyone stopped in their tracks and even the opposition applauded. Jackie Gates and Becky Quiddington also scored and modesty forbids me from mentioning the other scorer - ok it was me and it's been 33 years since I last scored and if you were to see the way I play you'll know why. It's likely to be some time before I score again so don't think it's worth giving up your Saturday's to come and watch the 5s play in the hope of seeing another miracle. We are at Wodson Park 12 noon next Saturday for a re-arranged league game against Enigma -I suggest you arrive early to gain a good vantage point as we usually have large numbers attending our games. All crowd violence has now been eradicated so it will be quite safe to bring the elderly and babies to our games.
