Saturday 3rd December Broxbourne Ladies 5's vs Tring 3's Result: Broxbourne lost 4-0

I'd like to be able to report a win this week and despite winning several thousand short corners within the first 2 minutes of the game we woz again robbed of victory losing 0 - 4. I have to say that all our opposition comment on how they can't believe we are bottom of the table and probably also can't believe their luck and the score line. They all seem to imply they have had a lucky escape. We did have a goal disallowed - the umpire said the ball didn't go out of the D from the short corner before it was struck and flew into the net. Had the goal been allowed psychologically we might not have allowed our chins to hit our chests with such a deafening thud. But we're not really down hearted and despondent because we have youth on our side and our youngsters improve each week. The second half of the season will be different especially if we decide to take performance enhancing drugs - I jest - I wouldn't suggest for one minute we do although I don't think the odd Fisherman's friend does any harm. Just watch this space next week - again!
