Saturday 12th November 2005 Broxbourne Ladies 4's vs St Albans 5's Result: Won 6-4

Well done on our excellent result on Saturday, beating St Albans 5's 6-4 in convincing style. We had no less than 5 goalscorers and deserved the win fully. They came back at us but we kept going and played strong leading to the final result. We marked well, looked for space, used short accurate passing and it was great to hear you calling on the pitch. The game became a little narrow in the 3rd quarter but lots of yelling saw you widen it out again as you had the space for the taking and it worked. Jenny and Rosie were nabbed from the 5's and played well again and Laura from the 3's showed how fast I used to be able to run....... Katie Rose has now come to us newly promoted from the 5's and makes a great addition to our backline. We are up against Letchworth on Saturday at home. I've said to bring both blue and pink kits to the match as quite a few mentioned they would be keen to wear pink and as long as we ALL have pink it won't be a problem but to be on the safe side, blue should take precedence. Lauren, thank you for going in goal on Saturday after I quite literally dumped that one on you. You did a great job. It may have taken you most of Sunday to thaw out as it was rather cold in St Albans, but we really appreciated it! See you all Saturday at 10 - Milly always prefers the early starts :-) - for a 10:30 pushback - (and a 10:05 warm up........) Kareen
